Faculty and Staff

Dedication, Compassion, Excellence

Our faculty and staff are the beating heart of the Academy experience. They come from a wide range of backgrounds, but they’re united in their love of education, their dedication to their students, and their commitment to continuous growth, as people and as professionals.

The adults at the Academy serve as role models and cheerleaders, coaches and counselors, mentors and lifelong sources of inspiration. By instinct and by training, they appreciate the power of individualized attention, attentive listening, and learning that is both joyful and serious, rigorous and flexible, challenging and warmhearted.

PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT AT THE ACADEMY

“Starting—and running—the science competition. It’s an opportunity for students to delve into a topic or find an answer to an everyday question. I’m most proud when I see students present their projects with confidence and clarity.”

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING AN EDUCATOR

“Education is an ongoing search for solutions. There’s never one answer. Being an educator fulfills my inner drive to understand complex problems, and my constant need to challenge myself to learn more and master new skills.”
