The school is housed in a historic six-story building located in Greenwich Village, 1.5 blocks away from New York University and Washington Square. It is adjacent to the New York City Landmark University Parish of St. Joseph on 6th Avenue. The building has been completely renovated and has a beautiful assembly hall, inviting foyer, dining hall, library, art studio, and ten classrooms. The building is air-conditioned and has an elevator.
Qualifying students (those not within walking distance) will receive student metro cards for weekday use. The 1, A, C, E, B, D, F, and M trains all stop within 1.5 blocks of the Academy.
Students attend P.E. twice weekly. Additionally, two times per month students in grades 1-8 travel by private bus to Chelsea Piers for P.E. Upper School students also use the gym at Our Lady of Pompeii one to two times a week. For the 2019-2020 school year, after-school sports programs will include, but not be limited to, soccer, basketball, and dance.
The school uniform is worn with pride. Academy uniforms are ordered from Lands’ End and more information can be found on our school website.
